About gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is a condition of enlarged male breasts. The reason to this is development of breast tissue, which usually only occurs to women.

Gynecomastia is the medical term for male breast development and comes from the Greek word for woman (gyne) and breast (mastos).

Since we are all different, this needs not necessarily be due to enlarged mammary gland but may instead be due to it possesses a greater deposition of fat in the chest. If so, you probably will not need surgery. Perhaps it is enough to start exercising or fat reduction laser, as several clinics performing.

The cause of gynecomastia is said to be an imbalance between estrogen and testosterone in the body. This is usually normal during puberty, when estrogen dominates before testosterone until you’re grown-up. Gynecomastia can also be caused if you have previously gained a lot of weight or abused anabolic steroids.
